FAQ

Got another question? Want more information about our services?

Is this the same as counselling or therapy?

No. Spiritual direction focuses on spiritual awareness and discernment. If counselling or therapy would be more appropriate, I can help with referrals.

What if I don’t know how to pray?

That is completely okay. Prayer in spiritual direction is simple and gentle. There is no pressure to perform or use certain words.

Do I need to be a Christian?

Spiritual direction is rooted in Christian tradition, but you do not need to have a strong faith background to participate. Curiosity and openness are enough.

How is this different from talking to a pastor or mentor?

Spiritual direction is less about guidance or instruction and more about listening together for God’s presence in your life.
